NIAGARA FALLS – An Arizona woman’s car was burglarized over the weekend while she toured Goat Island in one of three such break-ins investigated by police.

The woman parked her car near the Red Coach Inn on Buffalo Avenue about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and later discovered that a passenger window had been broken and her purse removed. She lost more than $2,100 worth of property, including two pair of prescription eyeglasses, a Bluetooth headset, some jewelry, prescription medications, some credit cards and about $30 in cash.

A Grand Island woman’s car was broken into between 1 and 4 p.m. while parked in the 8200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, and a purse was stolen. Also reporting a car break-in was a Pennsylvania man, whose car was entered between 5:30 and 6:20 p.m. while parked behind a Buffalo Avenue hotel. A global positioning system was stolen.
