Arson was blamed for a fire that caused $20,000 in damage to a vacant house on Wick Street early this morning, city fire officials said.

The fire was reported at about 4:40 a.m. at 62 Wick, a two-story house in the Broadway-Bailey neighborhood.

At 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a dryer fire in a basement at 66 Vernon Place caused $500 in damage.
