HANOVER – Four people were taken to area hospitals following the crash of a SUV about 12:44 p.m. Saturday on Hanover Road in the town.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said the SUV was northbound on Hanover when it went out of control on the gravel shoulder and overturned several times. One passenger was ejected and another was trapped inside. Both were flown Erie County Medical Center. Their names and conditions were not released Saturday.

The driver and another passenger in the SUV were taken by ambulance to Lake Shore Hospital with injuries that were described as not serious. Authorities did not release their names, either.

The investigation is continuing.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by state police and the Silver Creek and Forestville fire departments.
