A Langfield Avenue teenager described by Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III as “a clear and present menace to the safety of our community” pleaded guilty Friday to burglary, robbery and gun charges in three incidents last May and August.

Brandon Jones, 17, pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang to a felony burglary charge for the May 8 break-in at an East Ferry Street home and the May 30 gunpoint theft of a 1992 GMC Sierra in downtown Buffalo.

Jones also pleaded guilty before Erie County Judge Thomas P. Franczyk Jones to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Aug. 23, wielding a loaded sawed-off shotgun in downtown Buffalo.

Sedita said Jones faces a combined prison term of up to 29 years when sentenced Nov. 28.
