LOCKPORT – A bus filled with North Park Middle School students was struck by a car that ran a red light at West Avenue and Prospect Street, Lockport police said.
The driver of the car, Nam Brigham, 47 of Slayton Settlement Road was charged with passing a red light.
Capt. Michael Niethe said Brigham was eastbound on West just before 3 p.m. Wednesday and T-boned the Ridge Road Express bus, which was heading south on Prospect Street.
“The bus was heading home from North Park and was loaded with 40 middle school students,” Niethe said.
He said six students complained of head pain but none was hospitalized. The students were transferred to another bus and returned home.
