LOCKPORT – Sasha N. Botting, 23, of Hatter Road, Newfane, pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court Thursday to burglarizing her next-door neighbor’s home Aug. 2 and making off with about $700 worth of jewelry and cash.

Botting, who considered asking for court-supervised drug treatment as a sentence but changed her mind, is to be sentenced Jan. 15 by Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. The maximum sentence is seven years in prison.

Botting’s live-in boyfriend, Travis J. Watts, 28, allegedly acted as a lookout during the burglary. He is expected to plead guilty to a felony next week and may enter a court-supervised drug treatment program, Assistant District Attorney Joseph A. Scalzo said.
