LEWISTON – The 22nd annual Festival of Lights at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, directed by the Barnabite Fathers, will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at the shrine, 1023 Swann Road, off Creek Road (Route 18-E).
The festival, which is handicapped-accessible, will be lighted from 5 to 9 p.m. daily through Jan. 6. Admission is free. Those who wish to do so may climb to the top of the domed Basilica to view 15 acres of spectacular Christmas lights, including the Avenue of Saints and the Spirit of Christmas.
For Saturday’s opening of the display, Fatima Shrine Council 14622, Knights of Columbus, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 8 p.m.
