A Buffalo man was charged with strangulation and harassment for allegedly choking a woman into unconsciousness, then slapping her until she awoke during an argument in his home about last weekend, Buffalo police reported Wednesday.

Theodore Graves, 50, of Mary B. Talbert Drive, was arrested in his home about 1:40 a.m. Sunday. Police said the victim was taken Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

Graves was charged with second-degree strangulation and second-degree harassment.
