LOCKPORT – A Juniper Street man pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court Tuesday to entering a McIntosh Drive garage Sept. 1 and stealing a set of golf clubs.

Jeremy P. Barnes, 34, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree burglary. As a second-time felon, he faces mandatory state prison time of up to four years when he is sentenced Jan. 29 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

A co-defendant, Timothy A. Speers, 40, of Lockport, died of a reported drug overdose since the crime, Assistant District Attorney Ryan K. Parisi said.
