Moog Inc. has won a 10-year contract to provide support services for the flight control systems it makes for a Chinese airline’s fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft.

The Elma motion control equipment maker did not disclose the value of the contract, which calls for Moog to provide Hainan Airlines with maintenance and inventory support from its parts and service facilities worldwide, giving it constant access to spare parts regardless of where their aircraft are located.

Moog, which makes the primary and high lift flight control systems on the 787, recently launched the support services initiative in a bid to expand its replacement part and services business.
