WHEATFIELD – At least six vehicle owners on Schultz Road and Stevenson Court reported break-ins to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies over the weekend.

Deputies were called to three homes in the 7100 and 7200 blocks of Schultz Road on Saturday morning. In one case, a man told deputies that four power drills and a camera for a vehicle were stolen, a total loss estimated at $650. Another man said a $200 global positioning system and $50 starter pistol were stolen. Another victim said he had an unknown amount of change stolen, but found white latex gloves which the thief may have left behind. The gloves were turned over to deputies to be checked for fingerprints.

Deputies also responded to three break-ins reported in the 3400 block of Stevenson Court.

A couple told deputies that their unlocked garage was entered and a suspect took a GPS, four pairs of sunglasses, prescription glasses, and two cellphone charges from an unlocked car and then entered another unlocked vehicle and took $150 in cash from a wallet left in the center console, and a GPS. Total loss was pegged at $860. Another Stevenson Court resident said his unlocked car parked on the west side of his garage was entered and a GPS was stolen.
