A Chautauqua County motorist pulled over by state police early today because of his vehicle’s excessively tinted windows was arrested on multiple charges, including having a set of metal knuckles, troopers reported.

The vehicle was pulled over on Route 394 in Falconer by Trooper Joseph Krywalski. While talking with its driver, the trooper reported he saw a can of beer in the back seat.

The driver, Matthew Howard, 18, of Falconer, was arrested on a charge related to underage possession of alcohol. During a further search of the vehicle, the trooper found a bag containing marijuana, a pipe bearing marijuana residue and the metal knuckles, according to state police.

Howard was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Howard was issued tickets to appear in Ellicott Town Court and released.
