A Buffalo man was shot in the knee while talking with friends outside of a Rodney Avenue home Saturday evening.
Roosevelt Appleton Jr., no age provided, was taken by Rural Metro Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center.
Appleton told Buffalo police a newer model white or gray four-door Cadillac with tinted windows approached eastbound on Rodney from Fillmore Avenue and stopped,
Shots were then fired from the car, possibly from a semiautomatic handgun, according to a police report. The incident happened about 6:20 p.m.
Other witnesses described hearing multiple shots and seeing a Cadillac head eastbound on Rodney toward Holden Avenue occupied by two men.
Police recovered 11 9mm cartridges and two bullet fragments.
