Independent Health appointed Patricia Clabeaux senior vice president, human resources and organizational development. Previously, Clabeaux was the senior director, human resources, at Kaleida Health. She is a University at Buffalo graduate.

Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo appointed Donna M. McKinney manager of projects and operations. Previously, McKinney was business advisor at the hospital. A Medaille College graduate, she received her MBA from the University at Buffalo.

The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County appointed Joseph Roccisano director of agency relations. Roccisano, with the agency since 2004, is a Cornell University graduate and earned an MBA from Northwestern University. Also, the agency appointed Diane Bessel director of research, investments and advocacy. Bessel holds a Ph.D., master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo, She is also a graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Bessel previously was director of community impact at the agency.

Evans Bank named Jeffrey Sentiff branch manager for its newest branch in Williamsville. Sentiff has nearly 10 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently as branch manager for HSBC. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State College.

Vive Inc., a refugee center in Buffalo, elected Sharon A. Swift president of its board of directors. Swift is an associate at the law firm of Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel. A graduate of Canisius College, she earned an MBA and J.D. from the University at Buffalo. Founded in 1984, Vive Inc. has served more than 86,000 asylum seekers from more than 110 countries.

Schroeder, Braxton and Vogt, a financial planning and investment management firm, named Steven Elwell vice president. Elwell, a CFP, is a graduate of Alfred State College. He has worked at the firm for six years and is also the firm’s chief compliance officer.

The law firm of Damon Morey named Claire F. Galbraith and Kenneth Graham associates. Galbraith received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. Graham, a Northeastern University graduate, received his J.D. at the University at Buffalo School of Law.

The Buffalo law firm of Hurwitz & Fine named Marc A. Schulz an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Schulz, a University at Plattsburgh graduate, earned his J.D. at the University at Buffalo School of Law.

Synacor Inc. appointed Patrick Saladyga project coordinator, TV Everywhere. Saladyga is a Canisius College graduate. Also, the company appointed Chris Hartjes a principal engineer. Hartjes previously worked at Moontoast as a senior server-side engineer.
