A West Seneca man was stopped for speeding in Alden over the weekend and then charged with drunken driving.

State police officials said they pulled over a vehicle driven by Barry Depczynski, 37, at about 7:30 p.m. Friday on Genesee Street. Depczynski failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the state police barracks in Clarence, where he posted blood-alcohol level of .28 percent, which is more than three times the legal limit, authorities said.

Depczynski was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in Town of Alden Court at a later date.
