A Buffalo man was roughed up and stabbed with a pair of scissors while taking out the garbage about 2 p.m. Satrday in the city’s Kingsley neighborhood.

Donald Brooks, no age available, told police he was in his backyard on Wohlers Avenue taking out the garbage, when he was approached by three unknown men. One of the men struck Brooks in the back of the head and another stabbed him in the left side of the armpit with a pair of scissors, causing a small puncture wound, according to police.

Brooks was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was still in the emergency room Saturday night, a hospital official said.
