@G-Cal stand alone body:Roll over, Beethoven! Round and round goes the Slee Beethoven Quartet Cycle, Buffalo's unique annual exploration of all of the astonishing, colorful quartets that Beethoven wrote.

The American String Quartet is in town to power this year's cycle forward with concerts at 7:30 tonight and Saturday in Lippes Hall in Slee Hall on the University at Buffalo's North Campus, Amherst.
Tonight, the ensemble plays the Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 127 Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, No. 1, and the lively Russian "Razumovsky" Quartet in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3.
Saturday, the Beethoven continues with the Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 74, (the "Harp"), known for its lyrical slow movement. It is followed by the Quartet in G Major, Op. 18, No. 2; and the monumental Quartet in C-sharp minor, Op. 131.
