Who?: Garrett Shea, vocals, guitar; Nick Bonaventura, guitar; Will Folckemer, bass; Cam Kukla, drums.

What?: Alt/power-pop/punk quartet just released its debut, "Take Me There," overseen by producer Anthony Casuccio of local indie label Buzz Records.

Why?: Blending the influence of Green Day and Foo Fighters, Breckenwood offers tightly constructed pop hooks and vibrant, accessible arrangements. "Take Me There" is a fat-free endeavor Casuccio has suggested that, after producing hundreds of albums in his career, the Breckenwood collection "is one of the very few where every song could be a radio hit." Apparently, college radio agrees Buffalo State College's WBNY voted Breckenwood Best Pop Rock Band and gave singer Shea the nod as Best Pop Rock Vocalist last year.

What's next?: Breckenwood will perform in the Feed the City benefit Dec. 8 in the Town Ballroom.
