One man was shot in a home invasion late Thursday night on Pavonia Street and treated at the Erie County Medical Center for apparent non-life-threatening wounds, according to Buffalo Police.
Police reports stated that two unidentified men armed with handguns entered a home in the first block of Pavonia about 10:45 p.m. and demanded money.
Two victims – a woman and a juvenile – reportedly were been bound with plastic zip ties and guarded by one of the suspects while the other searched the residence.
The suspects took $400 from the woman’s purse as well as a cellular telephone. When Gerardo Torres, another occupant of the house, arrived home, he was shot outside of the residence by one of the suspects.
Torres was taken to ECMC where he was treated in the emergency room, hospital officials said.
Northwest District Police are investigating. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the police department’s Tipcall Line at (716) 847-2255.
