A Buffalo woman faces felony first-degree assault and a weapons charge after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend early Wednesday at a Pershing Avenue apartment, Buffalo Police reported.
Gwendolyn Pugh-Bishop, 49, allegedly used a knife to stab Darryl Spell in the head and shoulders multiple times about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Reports stated that Pugh-Bishop grabbed a kitchen knife from a drawer and began to stab Spell during a verbal and physical confrontation.
She was apprehended a short time later in the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue. Spell was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center where he was treated in the emergency room and later discharged, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
