DUNKIRK – A pair of stabbing incidents that occurred within a short time of each other Friday in the city of Dunkirk are under investigation by Dunkirk Police.
Authorities said the first stabbing occurred just after 3 p.m. at 404 Central Ave. There, an apparent argument turned violent and a Dunkirk man, who was trying to diffuse the situation, was stabbed in the shoulder. His name was not released. Police said he was treated at Brooks Memorial Hospital before being transferred to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
Just before 4:30 p.m., at 95 Lincoln Ave., police arrived to find a victim with multiple stab wounds. He was treated at the scene and also taken to Brooks and then to ECMC. His injuries were reported as serious.
