NIAGARA FALLS – A woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center after she was injured this morning when her disabled car was struck from behind on the northbound 190 near the Niagara Falls Boulevard exit .

State police said a 2003 Saturn driven by an unidentified female became disabled and was stuck in the roadway at about 6 a.m. An unidentified male, driving a 2005 Ford pickup, struck the woman’s car from behind. The man was taken to Niagara Fall Memorial Medical Center with injuries.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately known.

No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.

State Police Public Information Officer Jeffrey Bebak said it was dark at the time of the crash and investigators are looking into the possibility that the pickup driver may have been unable to see the disabled car prior to the crash.
