WHEATFIELD – Four people were injured and one driver faces a number of traffic charges after his car rear-ended a Jeep, causing it to rollover, this morning on Niagara Falls Boulevard near Walmore Road.

All the injuries were described as non-life threatening.

David Summerville, 20, of North Tonawanda, the driver of a 2006 Saturn, was charged with unreasonable and imprudent speed, failure to keep right and failure to obey a traffic control device, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.

Summerville was eastbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard just before 8:30 a.m. when he rear-ended a 2007 Jeep Liberty operated by Joseph Lamb, 61, of Burlington Ont., causing the Jeep to flip over.

Lamb was extricated by volunteers from the Bergholz Fire Company. A passenger in the Jeep, Catherine Lamb, 62, also of Burlington, was assisted out of the vehicle before rescue workers arrived. Both Lambs were transported to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Summerville and a passenger, Jessica Wagner, 25, of North Tonawanda, were taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation.
