Two freestyle wins by Sarah Townsend and victories in all three relays led Nardin to the Monsignor Martin Association girls swimming championship Tuesday at ECC’s Flickinger Center.

The Gators had 155 points to 129 for second-place Mount St. Mary in repeating as meet champions.

Townsend won the 200 freestyle (1:58.96) and the 500 (5:23.33). Teammate Reilly Wesolek was second in both races. Mariana Militello swam on all three Nardin relays (the 200 medley, which won in an All-Catholic record 1:52.10, the 200 and 400 freestyles.

Junior Aleza Epstein of Sacred Heart was a double winner, taking the 50 freestyle (24.55) and 100 butterfly (59.64). Epstein, in the fly, was the only individual repeat winner from 2011. Grace Fredricks, a freshman from Mount St. Mary, won the 100 free (57.36) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.05) while freshman Alexis Fredricks of Mount St. Mary won the 200 IM in 2:16.92.
