BASEBALL: The coaching staff of the University at Buffalo baseball team will hold four separate sessions to allow baseball players of all ages to learn the fundamentals and improve their all-around game. One session will be a Holiday Camp for players ages 6-12, and another is a two-day Showcase Camp for high school and junior college players looking to show off their skills. The showcase session will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 29 at the North Amherst Recreation Center. It is open to all high school players as well as junior college players. The cost of the camp will be $80. On Dec. 30, the staff will hold a hitting clinic for ages 12 through 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. It will also be held at the recreation center and will cost $50. Later on that day, there will be a clinic for the same age group for pitchers and catchers. It will run from 1-4 p.m. for the same price, $50.The final session will be geared more towards youth baseball players. Held Dec. 27 and 28 at the North Amherst Recreation Center, this skills clinic will be open to players age six to 12. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day and will cost $75. Bundle deals are available for those who wish to attend more than one session. Players who attend the showcase and either the pitching or hitting clinic need only to pay $115 for both camps. Players who want to go to both the hitting and pitching clinic but not the showcase can pay just $85 for the two bundled sessions. The price for all three showcases will be $150. BASKETBALL: The Roy-Hart Sports Booster Club will hold its annual alumni basketball game on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Roy-Hart High School. STREET HOCKEY: Street hockey games will be played Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Asarese-Matters Center on Rees Street with divisions for 8-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16 year-olds. Cutoff date is Dec. 1. Registration will be held weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Royal Printing, 351 Grant St., near Potomac. The fee is $6. No equipment is necessary.
