JAMESTOWN – City police arrested an alleged burglar over the weekend and announced that they are investigating “multiple burglaries” that took place in the city last month.

City resident Wayne B. Wright III, of McKinley Avenue, was arrested on Saturday in connection with an Oct. 16 burglary in the southern section of the city. Police said Wright is charged with burglary and petit larceny.

Detectives said they are investigating other recent burglaries in the city. Police asked on Sunday that anyone with information about recent burglaries contact their department at 483-7537 or 483-8477.
