New York State Sportswriters Association Class D poll: Ellicottville/West Valley and Clymer are both honorable mention (outside top 20).

Ellicottville/West Valley at The Ralph: The two schools merged this season. Ellicottville won championships in 2004 (14-6 over Maple Grove), 1991 (13-6 over Franklinville), 1985 (13-6 over Sherman) and 1984 (33-12 over Panama). West Valley won a title in 1983 (7-6 over Pine Valley).

Clymer at The Ralph: Clymer won four straight titles behind standout running back Jehuu Caulcrick from 1999 to 2002. It beat Maple Grove in each of those finals.

Last meeting: Clymer won, 20-14, at home in week Three.
