In conjunction with author Blake Mycoskie's Nov. 15 UB Distinguished Speakers Series visit, the "Start Something That Matters" contest invites members of the Western New York community to submit stories of how they successfully started something that has had a positive impact on others. Impact Artists Gallery is seeking submissions for the "Creative Artists Light Up the Season in Western New York" exhibition, which runs Nov. 28 through Dec. 29 in the gallery in Tri-Main Building (Suite 545, 2495 Main St.). All artists over age 18 are eligible to submit works of art, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, glasswork and FibreArt.
