A memorial service for Michael F. Foster, an aspiring hip-hop artist, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Antioch Holiness Church, 1461 Michigan Ave.
He died Oct. 23 in Erie County Medical Center after being shot earlier that day on Courtland Avenue near East Delavan Avenue. He was 31.
Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of McKinley High School.
Since 2001, Mr. Foster had produced hip-hop mix tapes on his own label, O.B.N., that were distributed to local stores and sold to his fans, according to his sister, Kalah Bishop.
In addition to his sister, Mr. Foster is survived by his mother, Michelle Bailey; his father, Michael F. Sr.; two sons, M’Khai and Zion; and a daughter, Mikeya.
