LOCKPORT – Shawn K. Pittler, 24, of Chestnut Street, Lockport, pleaded guilty Friday in Niagara County Court to burglarizing a business down the street from his home.

Pittler admitted to third-degree burglary for a June 17 break-in at Pirate’s Alley Tattoo Studio, 211 Chestnut St. Assistant District Attorney Heather A. DeCastro said the sentence will include restitution of up to $5,000 for tattooing equipment and a motor bike that were stolen.

Pittler, a second-time felon, is currently in jail on a parole violation stemming from his sentence on a 2010 burglary conviction in Allegany County. He faces up to seven years in state prison for the Lockport burglary when he is sentenced by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas Jan. 29.
