NIAGARA FALLS – Nearly $600 worth of Slim Jim’s and beef jerky were stolen from a city convenience store over the last several days.

A store manager for a 7-Eleven on Niagara Street told city police that packages of the smoked beef products were stolen during two separate heists.

During the first, sometime between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Friday, six 24-count boxes of Slim Jim’s, valued at $214, were taken from store shelves.

He said the store was hit again between 10 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday. Six more 24-count boxes of Slim Jim’s and two 12-count and two 15-count boxes of Jack Link’s beef jerky were taken from inside the store, and 10 delivery totes that were outside the store also were stolen. The total of those items was estimated at $468.
