Former football player Randy Grimes will be in the Buffalo area Monday to talk about how prescription drug addiction almost ruined his life. The seminar, which is free and open to the public, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.
Grimes, who played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be a featured speaker at a seminar sponsored by three addiction treatment programs. Grimes began using prescription drugs to prolong his football career. It was only after a close friend of his died from an overdose that Grimes sought help for his own addiction.
