One person was home Friday afternoon during the burglary of a Bailey-East Delavan home, but the resident, in his 70s, suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, police said.

A screen door was cut to enter the Hazelwood Avenue residence and stolen were $1,100 in valuables, including a suitcase and apparently seven pairs of Air Jordans, according to polices. The burglary was reported at 3:40 p.m. Friday. The thief or thieves fled by breaking out a rear window, police said.
