WILSON – Rescue workers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash just before 5 p.m. today at New and Randall roads.
Several people in a van were able to free themselves following the crash, but one victim who complained of shoulder and back pain needed help from volunteers from Wilson No. 1 and South Wilson firefighters and needed to be removed from the vehicle, according to rescuers at the scene.
The cause of the crash and extent of the injuries were unknown this evening, though they are not considered to be life-threatening, according to Niagara County sheriff’s dispatchers.
At least two people with injuries were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center.
