Victor W. Hamilton Jr., of Williamsville, a retired FBI special agent, died unexpectedly Sunday in Williamsville. He was 70.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., he attended high school there. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea.
Mr. Hamilton joined the FBI after graduating from Monmouth University. He had assignments in New York City and Oklahoma before he was transferred to the Buffalo office about 20 years ago.
A computer specialist, he also took part in the Timothy McVeigh investigation. He retired five years ago.
He and his wife, the former Marilyn R. Knapp, would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary Thursday.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Patricia L. Leo and Sande D. Barrett, and a son, James M.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Tonawanda.
