The Buffalo Bandits continue to slowly turn over their roster in anticipation of the 2013 National Lacrosse League season.
The latest players to depart are veterans Roger Vyse and Tom Montour. The moves come less than a week after the team released veteran defenseman Ian Llord.
Vyse, a forward, has spent six seasons in a Bandits uniform since the team drafted him in the second round in 2005. He has had trouble seeing regular duty in the past two years, and played in only nine games last season. Montour, a transition player, came to Buffalo in a 2009 trade with Calgary. He only played in nine games last season.
Meanwhile, the Bandits also signed Hayden Smith to a one-year contract. He was the team’s initial second-round draft pick last month.
