Two tractor-trailers went off the road at the junction of the Thruway and the Niagara Thruway in separate accidents this morning, State Police reported.
The first incident took place at about 5 a.m. when a tractor-trailer, which wasn’t carrying any cargo, went through a guardrail. No injuries were reported. The right lane of the on-ramp from the southbound I-190 to the westbound I-90 was closed while crews removed the truck. The accident remains under investigation.
Then at about 11 a.m., another truck drove off the road near the first accident site. Again, no one was hurt. No other details were immediately available. It was not known whether the morning’s rain was a contributing factor in the incidents.
