A man caught on surveillance video fatally shooting his victim was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday.
Taire M. Chaney, 21, was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns after he earlier pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
Chaney admitted shooting Anthony L. Pitts, 20, in the head on March 2 following an altercation inside Pandora’s Sports Bar at Fillmore and Victoria avenues.
It was later revealed that a city surveillance camera, located on a utility pole more than two blocks away, helped lead Buffalo police detectives to Chaney.
