NIAGARA FALLS – A city man is in stable condition today in Erie County Medical Center after breaking both of his legs in a crash Sunday at Niagara Falls Boulevard and 89th Street, police said.
Angel Rivera-Cruz, 21, was taken to ECMC after he drove his motorcycle into the side of a vehicle just after 4 p.m. Sunday. Rivera-Cruz struck the vehicle as it pulled onto Niagara Falls Boulevard from 89th Street, according to Traffic Capt. Salvatore Pino.
Rivera-Cruz suffered two broken legs, broken ribs and other internal injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to ECMC, Pino said. He said a city woman, whose name was not released, was operating the other vehicle and has not been charged, but the case remains under investigation.
“Something happened, but we still have to do a lot of calculations,” Pino said this morning..
