A couple of weeks off apparently helped Benard Onsare in the Niagara Falls International Marathon on Sunday.
Onsare, who ran in the Chicago Marathon on Oct. 7, was the winner in the annual race. The marathon started in Buffalo and finished in Niagara Falls, Ont.
The 29-year-old Kenyan finished in 2 hours, 26 minutes and 4 seconds.
He was joined in the winner’s circle by Paula Wiltse of Brockville, Ont. Wiltse, who hadn’t run a marathon in six years, came home first in 2:51:57.
