Northwest District police arrested two men Saturday afternoon and charged them with stealing scrap metal from one scrapyard and selling it at another.
Nicholas Taylor, 28, of Marilla Street, and Eric Pakula, 29, of Zittel Street, were charged with petit larceny and third-degree criminal trespass. They allegedly removed $115 worth of auto parts from Empire Waste Products, 55 Skillen St., and sold them at Niagara Metal, 761 Hertel Ave.
Police said Taylor ran from Niagara Metal and was caught by Officer John Petricca on Norris Street.
