SANBORN – A Niagara Falls man was charged with failure to yield the right of way Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash that also injured a Cheektowaga man and her daughter, state police said.
Jahaan I. Hairston, 21, was cited for allegedly turning out of Smokin’ Joe’s gas station on Saunders Settlement Road into the path of an oncoming car driven by Michael G. Pietras, 61, of Cheektowaga. He and his daughter Marissa Pietras, 20, were treated in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, for neck pain.
Hairston also was released after treatment in that hospital for minor internal injuries caused by his seat belt, troopers said.
