A Buffalo man was charged with driving while intoxicated after property-damage crash in South Buffalo during a high-speed chase, Buffalo police said.
Christopher Deyoe, 37, was approached by police early Friday morning and took off at a high rate of speed, driving over a lawn at Choate Avenue and McKinley Parkway, “causing deep tire tracks in the lawn,” police said.
Deyoe was apprehended at Whitfield and South Park avenues, but not before he damaged a fence, lawn and car in the 200 block of Columbus Avenue, police said. Deyoe also was charged with two counts of obstructing governmental administration and felony criminal mischief.
