SILVER CREEK – The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce hopes to bring inspiration and new life to the Town of Hanover area by renaming the local Chamber as the Hanover Chamber.
A reorganizational session was held Tuesday evening in Aunt Millie’s Restaurant on Routes 5 & 20.
Greg Krauza, membership director for the county Chamber, introduced Jonelle Anderson, who will serve as coordinator for the new Hanover Chamber. She will help local members with events and promotions, and advocate for new members of the organization. She can also explain benefits to new or prospective members, including networking events, assistance with social media and health insurance for members.
The Hanover Chamber will be part of the overall Chautauqua Chamber and have the benefit of the larger organization for support and advocacy, Krauza said. Members of the Festival of Grapes attended the meeting and were interested in learning about promotional opportunities. Other events that may be sites for Chamber activities will include the Polar Bear Swim in January, Silver Creek Children’s Fair in June, Laurel Run in July and the Forestville Apple Festival in October.
The newly named organization will be seeking members to serve on the leadership board and other committees to promote businesses throughout the town. For more information, business and community leaders can contact Anderson at
