The Holland Town Board has approved the 2013 budget, which calls for no tax increase.
“We held the line on everything,” Supervisor Michael Kasprzyk said last week. “There were no raises for elected officials or any other group.”
The exception was Highway Department employees, who get a 2 percent raise in accord with their contract.
Kasprzyk said the town used $233,000 of unexpended fund balance to maintain the tax rate at the same level as this year: 63 cents per $1,000 of assessed value for the general fund and $2.92 for the Highway Department fund.
