The south entrance to Kenmore Mercy Hospital and the adjacent parking lot to the north will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the next two weeks as construction related to the new Emergency Department is performed in and around the area.
Reopening of the affected area is scheduled sometime during the week of Oct. 29, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Meanwhile, visitors to the hospital should follow signs designating alternate walking and driving routes. The hospital also will have security personnel on site to help pedestrians and motorists.
Additional handicapped parking spaces will be designated in the north parking lot, along Elmwood Avenue.
