A man was charged with driving while intoxicated with children in the car late Friday night in Pendleton, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 11 p.m., several people called 911, reporting an accident at South Transit and Fisk roads.
One driver was headed north on South Transit Road and tried to turn left onto Fisk Road, deputies said. That driver failed to yield the right-of-way to a southbound vehicle.
Louis G. Friedly was charged with failure to yield the right of way and Leandra’s Law DWI. His 13- and 17-year-old sons were in the vehicle with him, deputies said. None of them were injured.
The other driver, Thomas DiPasquele was taken to Erie County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
