A 44-year-old Wilson man was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center on Friday morning after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck pulling a utility trailer, Niagara County sheriff’s officials reported.
James M. Friedline, the operator of the motorcycle, was being treated in the ECMC emergency room for chest injuries, following the crash, which occurred at about 6:15 a.m. in the Town of Cambria.
Sheriff’s deputies said Friedline, northbound on Baer Road, failed to stop for a stop sign at Lower Mountain Road. The motorcycle struck the southbound pickup truck that had just turned left onto Lower Mountain Road.
The truck driver, whose name was not released, was not injured.
