MAYVILLE – A Frewsburg man and his wife have been charged with felony marijuana possession, spokesmen for the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force said Friday.
William N. Kamholtz, 57, remained jailed in McKean County, Pa., after his previous arrest by the U.S. Forest Service for allegedly growing marijuana on federal land in Pennsylvania, authorities said. His wife, Susan K. Kamholtz, 53, remains free on $40,000 property bail following her arrest on Oct. 5.
The Kamholtz home was the target of a raid on Sept. 25 as part of a continuing investigation by Chautauqua County authorities into marijuana-growing operations, authorities said.
Town of Carroll police said that during the raid, agents seized more than seven pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, a marijuana-drying shed, paraphernalia and growing equipment, as well as firearms.
