A 43-year-old Derby man’s admission that he stole more than $13,000 from the Lakeshore Youth Football League could lead to a prison sentence of up to four years, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

David Mascio pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny before Erie County Judge Thomas P. Franczyk, said District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III.

Mascio was serving as the league’s president and treasurer when the thefts occurred between February and June 2011.

He stole more than $5,000 by cashing checks made payable to himself and also took $8,000 in cash from concession stand proceeds, the prosecutor’s office said.

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 28.
